We arrived in the port of Huahine before 8am on Sunday, October 2nd
It was overcast when we arrived with a slight rain.
After breakfast we decided to check out the marina on the ship.
The specially designed watersports platform turns the ship in to your headquarters for all kinds of adventure on the water. It is easy to descend to sea level and hop aboard a paddleboard or launch a kayak. You can even windsurf. You can also check out snorkeling gear from the marina and use it for the entire week.
So what the heck, lets give this a try. Unfortunately for us they didn't have any single kayaks available...only tandem (double) kayaks. So we figured that would be easier for first timers...boy were we wrong!!
This is the view of the ship from the kayaks.

Well we look happy! And we didn't drown! So that's good!
Paddling a tandem kayak requires patience, cooperation, good communication skills
as well as an understanding of the roles that each paddler takes on.
We didn't do so well communicating during this attempt.
I think there was a moment I dropped my oar on my lap and screamed
"What do you want me to do?"

We kayaked over to the reef markers.
These are some of the fish we saw.

After our adventure, we enjoyed some lunch and then headed to the pool for some sun and an attempt at trying the drinks on the menu.
Today's selection was Sea Breeze, Bay Breeze and the drink of the day: Les Gauguines (Bacardi Rum, Strawberry liquor, pineapple juice, coconut cream and grenadine)
