Back to Papeete, Tahiti (Oct 8)

Saturday morning, we disembarked the ship and were promptly picked up by Marama Tours
for our scheduled transfer back to the Manava Suites Resort hotel

We checked in and waiting until 1pm for our 5 hour tour of the island.

 The tour took us around the large portion of the island only.

 Papenoo

 Banyan tree..not quite as big as the one in Lahaina, Maui

 A stone memorializing the "Mutiny on the Bounty" which was filmed in Tahiti starring Marlon Brando. Marlon Brando later settled on one of the nearby islands. Since his death a family member rents out the estate "The Brando" is very, very expensive..more than $3,000/night.

Dinner at the hotel, followed by our favorite local brew: Hinano Tahiti (Ambres)
