Yesterday when I was trimming the roses, I noticed there is one branch of the yellow "Walking on Sunshine" roses that has quite a thorn proliferation. Other symptoms: thicker branches, leaves are discolored and curling up and roses do not open up.
Doug has determined it has Rose Rosette Disease, a viral rose disease spread by a tiny insect. This disease seems to be fatal for the plant within two years and could kill neighboring rose bushes.
