Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo

Monday - MLK day; I decided to take the folks and Andrew to the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo.https://fwssr.com/
We started the morning at Vickery Cafe https://www.vickerycafe.com/.
Andrew had the famous "Texas" waffle.  He ate the whole thing!

 When we arrived at the stock show, we walked through the various animal barns.
Andrew got to see a baby chick hatch from an egg. In this area, the fluffy baby chicks were busy eating/playing. He was waiting for one to jump on the chicken ferris wheel.

 We spent some time at the carnival.

Andrew rode the rocket.

 We found our seats - the show would start at 2pm

Time for snacks!

 We must have worn him out.
He was out 5 minutes in to our car ride home.

Gingerbread House

It is a annual tradition, when the Elliotts go out for New Years Eve, we watch the boys and decorate gingerbread houses. This year we opted for smaller houses. It was a success once again!

Christmas in Houston

December 22nd we drove down to Houston to spend Christmas with the South Kuklenz family.
My parents arrived in time to go with us, and got to see Rhone for the 1st time. The Elliotts also were in attendance as they were in town celebrating Christmas with Josh's dad and family.

We were able to get some family photos.

 

Grinch Night

Josh and Jill went out for the chiropractic office Christmas Party, so I came over to stay with the boys. We planned Grinch night.  Jackie stopped by after work for dinner and we made Grinch popcorn and watched the Grinch movie wearing elf pajamas. It was a very fun night!

Thanksgiving in Naples

Doug and I went to Naples for a few days (11/22-11/24) to celebrate "Friendsgiving".

Our friends Ken & Kim Spooner were kind enough to offer the orphans a
place to have Thanksgiving. Everything was wonderful.

We went to Sea Salt for dinner the night we arrived.
We spent some time on the beach.
We had a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner at Kim's mom's house.
We learned about "crackers" for the holidays and drank plenty of wine!

A good time was had by all!!!

Week of Babysitting Rhone

I flew to Houston to care for Rhone for a week  (11/11-11/18) while Karl and Audrey started back to work after maternity/paternity leave.
