Andrew - Ear Infection

Andrew has not done so well with his second week of daycare...so yesterday morning, I made an appointment for Andrew to see the local pediatrician in town (Dr Pete - aka Dr Harry M Stellman IV). http://drbillandpete.com/pg-68-2-meet-the-doctors.aspx

Andrew has had some severe nasal congestion since Saturday. He could not sleep Saturday night unless he was held upright. There is not much available for over the counter meds for infants!  The next day he developed a cough and on Monday he had a bunch of eye gunk.  He is shown here with his right eye very irritated and red on the top and bottom eyelids.  Dr Pete gave him Amoxicillin 400 mg for an ear infection.  It's bubble gum flavor and he doesn't miss a drop!  I'm glad he likes taking his medicine so far, it has made everything a lot easier!

Andrew only has to go to daycare three more days this week (Wed - Thurs - Friday) and then he will be going to an in home daycare next door.  This should make a much easier transition on the little guy.  We want happy Andrew back!!
