Donald "Tuffy" Breon, age 88, of Fonda, Iowa, passed away Friday, June 30, 2017 at Loring Hospital in Sac City.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Varina. Burial will be at a later date at the Cedar Cemetery in Fonda. Visitation will take place Tuesday, July 4, 2017 from 5-8:00 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Varina. The Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake is in charge of the arrangements.
Donald “Tuffy” Breon was born on October 12, 1928, to Lester and May (Hewitt) Breon. Tuffy was the second child to this union, his siblings included: Arzetta, Dorothy, Marlin, Keith, Verla, Verlin “Toad”, and his half-brother, Jeff. Tuffy was baptized at the Varina Methodist Church on September 6, 1942, where he remained a lifelong member. Tuffy attended the Varina Consolidated School in his youth and graduated in 1946.
On December 18, 1955, he was united in marriage to Darlene Horne. To this union, three children were born: Brad, Greg, and Barb. Darlene died on November 16, 1973.
