Lightning Strike

Sunday, Sept 26th - Around 9am a lightning strike hit near the ground very near our house.

I saw and heard it at the same time. It caused damage to some electronic circuit boards in our house and also our next door neighbor.

We lost both air conditioner units, Kenmore range, one garage door opener, sprinkler control panel, the upstairs television, DISH satellite and receivers (2) plus the internet modem.

Our neighbors lost their air conditioner.

I did place a claim with our homeowners insurance and we likely don't have enough damage to even meet our 1% deductible of $3,000.

We are very fortunate the lightning did not strike our house or cause a fire.
