Sinus Cyst
August 7th, I went to the ENT doctor for some recurrent sinus issues. For about the past month, I have not been able to breathe out of my nose. Over the counter decongestants are not working and Omnaris steriod nasal spray is not working either....so off to the doctor I went. The doctor ordered some tests which I had today, August 20th.
I had some allergy testing. It turns out I'm not allergic to anything! I didn't think I was, It never was the itchy nose/eyes kind of problem.
So the next test was a CT of my sinuses. That showed I had a large maxillary sinus cyst (left cheek area). Sinus cysts can cause minor to severe nasal obstruction leading to conditions such as chronis sinusitis or chronic post-nasal drip. Office surgery "balloon sinuplasty" has been recommended to open the sinus passageway and remove the sinus cyst and hopefully I'll be able to breathe again.
