Nathan's Visit - Day 3

Late Monday morning Nate and I headed to downtown Dallas to visit the Sixth Floor Museum. This was Nate's first choice of Dallas "Things to Do". The Museum is located on the sixth and seventh floors of an early 20th-century warehouse formerly known as the Texas School Book Depository. The permanent exhibit features films, photographs and artifacts that chronicle President Kennedy's life, death and legacy. Temporary exhibits can be seen on the seventh floor.
This is a photo of the book depository. Oswald shot JFK from the top/right square window on the 6th floor.  We enjoyed the audio tour of the entire 6th/7th floor.

City cactus as big as Nate!

After our 2 hour tour of the museum, we walked a couple of blocks to T.G.I. Fridays.

Then we were off to Reunion Tower's GeoDeck ; Reunion Tower is a 561 ft (171 m) observation tower and one of the most recognizable landmarks in Dallas, Texas. Located at 300 Reunion Blvd. in the Reunion district of downtown Dallas, the tower is part of the Hyatt Regency Hotel complex, and is the 15th tallest building in Dallas.  For more info: http://www.reuniontower.com/  We viewed the surrounding city via the outside observation and indoor observation deck.
The day was a little hazy so we couldn't see all the way to Fort Worth
Nathan is shown here using one of the interactive screens to identify the large skyscrapers in the distance.
Our free souvenir photo!

At 4pm we headed home via ToySRUs and Walmart.
(No luck with the shorts Diane...we will try Academy tomorrow)

After a short" rest period at home, we went bowling at Lake's Lanes in The Colony.
This was our way of celebrating "Big Bob's" birthday.

Below are some of the candid shots of the night.
 Playing nice...for now.

Andrew loved celebrating with high fives for everyone!
 A strike for Nathan!
 Note Andrew's shoes - lol!
 Da' boys!
 Cookie face & Jackie too!
The whole gang remembering Big Bob!
And of course "FUNNY FACE"
And by 8:30pm we ended the day with some Dairy Queen ice cream on the outdoor patio.
FYI it was about 102 today when we were walking around. This was a special treat for a special day!
