My 1st boots

Today we shopped at Cavenders in Lewisville. I purchased my first pair of cowboy boots.

These will come in handy on the mountain and are thick enough to avoid a snake bite!

Pool Remodel

We started the pool removed on October 16th. It was about a 2 month process as the plasterers would have to come out twice, the plumber came out twice and the masons came out twice...but it is done and will be fun to enjoy this summer!

Day 1 (Draining the pool)

Day 2 (Prep Work)

Day 3 (Making our own custom tile inserts)
The plasters saved parts of our original tile inserts, we purchased tile backing
and created our own inserts for installation later in the week.

Day 4 (Plaster complete)
Andrew is checking out the deep end!

Day 5 (Plumbing work)
In the course of the prep work, spa jets were damaged
and needed to be repaired before the spa could be plastered.

After this step, the spa was plastered.
The coping was repaired and then repaired again.
This caused mortar to be mixed with the plaster when it was setting up.
The pool was then sanded by our project manager but later the pool would need to be emptied again.
The pool was then acid washed and then refilled for the 2nd time.
Then a long few months of water balancing (pH and chlorine)

Anxiously waiting for warmer days to use the pool.
