Weekend with Andrew
Josh and Jill had a garage sale the weekend of August 13th and August 14th.
I went and got Andrew for the weekend so they didn't have to juggle 2 kids.
We enjoyed a lunch buffett at Chuck E Cheese, followed by an hour of game playing.
We then went to the Petsmart store so Andrew could look at the options for small pets.
He had recently seen the newest animated movie "Life of Pets" and was always taking about when he would get a pet. He said he wanted a pet snake. I told him Mimi wouldn't be going to his house if he got a pet snake. He changed his mine and said "Then I don't want a pet snake anymore"
He was more interested in getting a pet fish. He liked the minnow the best because there were "so many" of them but I tried to explained this was bait not a pet....and likely used for fishing
He said "Mimi that's gross!"
His "Please" "Please" "Please" face for mom/dad to ask for a pet fish
He was very intrigued by the birds as they always followed
him no matter where he was around there cage.
him no matter where he was around there cage.
He loved seeing the pet hampsters..but agreed they were smelly and "mom probably won't like that"
Here is the snake he wanted to get - A ball python!
(upper right tank - he was posing for us in the top part of the tank)
It's on sale 25% off
There were turtles and tortoises..but they didn't interact too much with him, so he didn't like them.
A few photos of one of Andrew's new costumes that Jill sent me
Andrew...also known as a "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle"
He still loves dressing up whenever he is given the chance!

Musical "Company"
Jackie has been working over the past few months with auditions, rehearsals and now performances for the Stephen Sondheim musical "Company"
Presented by Lakeside Community Theatre in The Colony, TX

The summary of the musical: On the night of his 35th birthday, Robert struggles to think of a wish to make as he blows out his birthday candles. The lone bachelor, surrounded by "those good and crazy people" - his married friends - Robert is uncertain whether he should simply be happy with his lot or if he should wish for his own romantic partner. Over a series of dinner parties, first dates, and thoughtful onversations, Robert attempts to understand the pros and cons of marriage from his diverse and frequently hilarious firends and beings to make sense of his own persistent bachelorhood. This is a modern musical with mature, intelligent and funny looks at relationships, vulnerability and "being alive".
