Babysit Aurora

Karl an Audrey went on a cruise January 10th through January 17th. 
I drove down to Houston on Saturday, January 9th to take care of Aurora while they were gone.
I was able to take Aurora to daycare everyday and then I worked from Karl/Audrey's house.Aurora was a perfect angel.  We enjoyed playtime, bathtime, and feeding time.

 Aurora has advanced with her walking, but know is prone to more spills/falls.
The day Karl and Audrey were to return home, Aurora tripped over a basket of toys
and broke the fall with her face.  Poor baby!

Saturday, January 16th, Jill and Andrew were able to accompany a friend to Houston. I picked them up in Kingswood. They got to see Aurora but the best part was Jill was able to drive me back home on MLK day, Monday January 18th.  She then treated me to a massage at Grave's Chiropractic office (where Josh works).

It was a great way to end a great week!

Christmas In Houston

Doug and I drove to Houston on Wednesday, December 30th to visit Karl, Audrey and Aurora.

On Wednesday, Aurora opened her gifts from the Kiefers (Mega Blocks and a pink ball)

Thursday, December 31st. Doug and Karl installed new pendant lights above the breakfast bar.
Sorry I didn't get any photos of the completed project.  They would finish the project in time for the neighbors to come over for a New Years Eve Meet & Greet.

Friday, January 1st. Aurora got to open her Christmas gifts from Mimi and Poppa.
She loved the bows and really loved tearing the paper into the smallest of pieces.

Aurora loves that she can make her giraffe go without help from anyone. 

We also helped Aurora with walking and talking.
She is saying words like Mom, Dad, but we added Hello to the mix.
She is also advancing in her walking and will be a pro at walking by the next time we see her.

Karl and Audrey have been making home-made gifts each year. This year they made bath soaps.
I am currently enjoying my sandal wood scented soap. We gave them gift certificates to use on their upcoming Royal Caribbean cruise.
